What We've Been up to in CO!

In the highlands and the heartache
You're neither more or less inclined
I would search and stop at nothing
You're just not that hard to find
So I will praise You on the mountain
I will praise You when the Mountain's in my way
You're the summit where my feet are
so I will praise You in the valleys all the same...
~Highlands- Hillsong United~

It's been almost 1 year and 8 months sense we first stepped foot on this dry, rocky soil in Colorado and called it our new home. We've definitely been in some valleys (I'm hoping to share more about those valleys when I'm feeling brave enough!) and sometimes it seems like mountains ARE in our way, but He is our summit where we've been able to heal and grow and enjoy the view on top of the mountain. Following God where He leads isn't easy. It stretches us to high places, but He does not leave us hanging. He's gone before us and has been here all along, guiding us and preparing us for more. We still have questions about why we were called here, but God is so faithful. We realize we're closer as a family and have had the opportunity to lean more on Jesus. We've barely scratched the surface here and are looking forward to sharing more of our story!

Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to...

The day we left Indiana.
We jumped right in and enjoyed doing Trunk or Treat with our
church at a local school!

Mustard, Ketchup, and a hot dog :D The kids got a kick out of it!

This was just this past Halloween... The boys have loved this new tradition and
say they like it better than trick or treating!

Our first Christmas away from family was so hard.
Thankfully the boys were full of smiles!

We started a new tradition last Christmas.
We cut down our own tree on the Grand Mesa.
I think it's a keeper!

Jake, Zak, and Thad enjoyed being in a local choir.
Jake and Thad also take piano.
Hiking adventures!

We loved having Grandpa and Grandma Pyle here for a week last Summer!
We love taking drives and exploring!

The bighorn sheep are my favorite!

Jacob was baptized on April 25th, 2019 <3

Fishing on the Grand Mesa is a must!

We traveled to Indiana in August 2019 and met our
new nephew/cousin, Oliver.

The boys loved being with their cousins
and they can't wait until they are all together again!!

We traveled back to Indiana
for one of my beautiful niece's wedding
in February, 2020.

We had a fun date night with all my siblings
and their spouses.
Hot tub time with their cousin, Laney!

We took a trip with my parents to San Diego, CA.
The boys absolutely loved Legoland.

I think we all did ;)

Cali Trip, 2019

Tyler and I got our foster license in July, 2019.
We have enjoyed loving on kiddos doing respite care.

We've been very proud of our boys and the love they have
shown to these sweet kids.

Pray for Foster Care.

It has been over 8 months sense our foster kids left our care. I haven’t heard from their Mom in 7 months and I don’t expect to. Her promise...
